A Life Cut Short
Tragedy struck Taunton early Friday morning as 33-year-old Alvaro J. Andrade was found fatally wounded behind the wheel of his SUV. Andrade was discovered with gunshot injuries in the driver’s seat of a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in a driveway on Winthrop Street. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at Morton Hospital shortly after 9 a.m.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, alongside Massachusetts State Police and Taunton Police, is diligently investigating this homicide. Initial reports indicate that the shooting occurred around 7:50 a.m., following a 911 call about gunfire in the vicinity.
