Fatal Crash in Kandiyohi County
A tragic accident involving an SUV and a semi-truck resulted in the death of a Marshall woman in Kandiyohi County on Saturday evening. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 40 and 45th Street Southwest near Willmar, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The impact was severe, leading to the fatal injury of 51-year-old Bu Ko, a passenger in the SUV.
Impact on Those Involved
Bu Ko was rushed to a Willmar hospital but unfortunately did not survive her injuries. The SUV’s driver, 64-year-old Ku Paw, and another passenger, 27-year-old Kyan Day, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are recovering. Remarkably, the semi-truck driver, 33-year-old Roberto Rivero from Davie, Florida, escaped the incident without injury.
