Acura Launches Reservations for Its Groundbreaking ZDX SUV, Starting Around $60,000

This morning, Acura unveiled reservations for its highly anticipated 2024 ZDX SUV, marking the premium brand’s debut into the electric vehicle market. Priced starting at approximately $60,000, early buyers will enjoy exclusive perks with their reservation, setting the stage for a new era in Acura’s lineup.

As the luxury arm of Honda, Acura has been cautious in embracing electrification. However, recent shifts in Honda’s strategy reflect a stronger commitment to electric vehicles, beginning with the Prologue SUV, following the discontinuation of the E minicar due to disappointing European sales.

The ZDX, which revives a nameplate from 2010, offers a fresh take with both standard and Type S versions. This new model features single- and dual-motor powertrains, with the Type S boasting an impressive 500 horsepower and a distinctive “Double Apex Blue Pearl” paint.

Reservations for the ZDX officially open today, providing a glimpse into what buyers can expect. Acura’s omni-channel digital sales process ensures a seamless experience, whether at a dealership or from home, although specific pricing details remain vague.

As deliveries begin in early 2024, ZDX buyers will receive an Acura Energy Key Card, granting access to exclusive events like the Sundance Film Festival and discounts at Topgolf. Additionally, customers will benefit from complimentary charging packages and access to networks from EVgo and Electrify America, thanks to recent agreements.
