A Gardendale man is dead after a piece of debris struck his SUV Monday morning.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said 51-year-old Jason H. Fields was fatally injured when the debris struck the 2021 Ford Bronco he was driving.
The incident happened April 22, just before 11:00 a.m. on Interstate 65 near the 281 mile marker, about one mile south of Warrior.
ALEA said Fields was pronounced deceased at the scene.
ALEA said its Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
