Xiaomi is already developing its second EV – and it has its sights set on the Tesla Model Y

Xiaomi is reportedly looking to bolster its EV offerings, as it builds on the success of its debut SU7 Sedan with a compact crossover that considers the Tesla Model Y as a close rivals.

The SU7 was revealed last year and then went on to secure 50,000 orders within the first 27 minutes of going on sale in China earlier this year. It has proven to be a smash hit in its domestic market and Xiaomi Automotive says it built 10,000 units in the first 32 days of production and is on track to deliver a total of 100,000 cars before the end of the year.

Part of the success story has been in the introduction of an awesome 16.1-inch 3K central console, a 56-inch head-up display and the powerful, SnapDragon-based infotainment software that boasts increased levels of AI that learns driver and passenger behavior. This is all before you consider the seamless integration of Xiaomi’s smartphones and other devices.

A recent report from Bloomberg suggests that Xiaomi is looking to increase SU7 Sedan output to meet consumer demand, while simultaneously developing a new model that will take the shape of the popular compact SUV – a segment that is rapidly gaining traction in China.

According to Bloomberg, the company benchmarked its upcoming SUV against Tesla’s Model Y during development, an insight provided by the news outlet’s anonymous sources.

Although specification, battery sizes and any innovative new onboard tech details have yet to be revealed, it would be fair to assume the same or updated infotainment system will feature. Plus, the announcement and eventual delivery of an SUV would bolster the expansion of Xiaomi’s $10 billion overall EV investment, which Bloomberg claims has been personally spearheaded by billionaire co-founder Lei Jun.

Analysis: Xiaomi to become a major EV player

When it was first announced that smartphone giant Xiaomi was entering the EV market, much of the Western world assumed it would be a bit of a novelty – the tech company offering an automotive extension of its digital devices.

But the announcement of an upcoming SUV proves that Xiaomi is serious and, despite the fact that the model is not predicted to arrive until 2025, it marks the expansion of its current production facility, which can only manage around 10,000 deliveries a month, according to Bloomberg.

The new and improved assembly line is set to increase production capabilities to 300,000 units per year, meaning the smartphone maker will be able to deliver the sort of numbers that would make it a serious competitor in the Chinese EV market.

That said, both BYD and Tesla posted serious sales figures in the final quarter of last year, with the former claiming 526,000 battery-only vehicle sales and the latter not fair behind with 484,500 – 1.8 million for the year as a whole.

Despite Xiaomi’s estimated production figures falling some way behind the market leaders, Bloomberg says that its EV business could break even in 2026, two years ahead of schedule. A mightily impressive feat considering how hotly contested the electric vehicle market is in China.

Best used car for new drivers can be bought and insured for under £5,000

The financial advice firm Independent Advisor Car Insurance has ranked the best used cars for new drivers, focusing on models that are cheap to buy and to cover.

Whilst the rising cost of car insurance continues to affect all motorists, those who have recently passed their driving test are lumbered with the highest costs.

Connor Campbell, expert at Independent Advisor Car Insurance, suggested that young drivers should always consider the running costs of the model they are interested in buying.

He explained: “Every car belongs to an insurance group, numbered one to 50, that’ll make it more or less expensive to insure, with cars that fall into the lower groups being less expensive to insure than those in the higher groups.

“So, when shopping around for a second hand car, try and find one in a lower insurance group in order to keep the cost of your cover down.”

According to Independent Advisor Car Insurance’s study, the best car for new drivers is the fourth-generation Nissan Micra, built from 2010 to 2020.

Nissan’s smallest model, the Micra may not be the most beautiful car in the world, but offers good build quality and most used examples sell for under £2,000.

Moreover, whilst there are similar cars that are cheaper to insure, the company noted that the average new driver without a no-claims bonus would be charged £2,758 per year for cover on a Micra.

Another good choice for new drivers is the Vauxhall Corsa, another mainstay in the world of superminis that is often cheap to buy on the used car market.

Independent Advisor Car Insurance noted that a budget of about £2,000 can buy a fourth generation model, which was offered between 2006 and 2014.

Compared to some models of the same age, the Corsa’s styling has remained attractive whilst offering plenty of space and similar insurance prices to the Micra.

Fatal Collision: SUV Driver Killed in Train Accident at Round Rock Intersection

Tragic Train Incident in Round Rock Claims Life

In a somber event on Wednesday morning in Round Rock, an SUV was hit by an Amtrak train, resulting in the death of the SUV’s driver. The accident took place at around 11 a.m. at the junction of Interstate 35 frontage road and McNeil Road. Despite the severity of the collision for the SUV driver, who was alone in the vehicle, all 46 passengers and crew members aboard the train were unharmed.

Emergency Response and Investigation Underway

Following the incident, emergency teams from Round Rock Police and Fire Departments promptly arrived at the scene, alongside officials from Amtrak and Union Pacific. The scene was secured and the SUV driver was pronounced deceased by the first responders. An investigation into the collision has been initiated by Amtrak Police in collaboration with local authorities to determine the specifics of the crash.

Impact on Rail Services and Passenger Safety

Amtrak Train 22, en route from San Antonio to Chicago, faced approximately four hours of delay due to the incident. Despite the disruption, it was confirmed that there were no injuries among the passengers or crew. Amtrak and local transportation authorities are reviewing safety measures at the crossing to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of both rail passengers and road users.

Further Reflections on Transportation Safety:

  • Comprehensive Safety Reviews Needed: This incident underscores the critical need for comprehensive safety reviews and enhancements at rail crossings, especially in busy intersections like those in Round Rock.

  • Community and Traveler Assurance: Ensuring the safety of both rail passengers and road users is paramount. This tragedy highlights the importance of ongoing dialogue and preventive measures to safeguard all parties involved in such transit areas.

  • Resilience and Response of Emergency Services: The swift response of emergency services and their coordination with transportation authorities demonstrate the community’s resilience and preparedness to handle unexpected accidents, providing essential support and minimizing further risks.

This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers at rail crossings and the ongoing need for vigilant safety practices to protect lives and maintain secure travel environments.

Pruett finding it easier outside of her Top Fuel car as time passes

It’s been a little over two months since the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing season began in Gainesville and for Leah Pruett, time has been a benefit.

“I’m glad Gainesville is over, I’ll say that,” Pruett said. “That definitely makes the veins in your body extremely strong.”

Pruett entered 2024 no longer a Top Fuel driver, having decided with husband Tony Stewart (pictured above, with Pruett) to begin the journey toward starting a family. Stewart, who competed in Top Alcohol last season, now drives Pruett’s dragster. So, when the season opened, Pruett faced several different variables thrown her way at once.

Her emotions. Stewart’s emotions. The fact that the season’s first race day began with Stewart in the first pair.

“That was huge,” Pruett said. “We had a YouTube camera crew with us, so I was already openly talking about emotions. And talking with Tony before that first run, he couldn’t get himself calmed down so we tried to work together to bring the jitters down. But it really wasn’t successful because I had my own. He still performed the very best he could.

“I felt more nerves outside the race car in that first-round run than I did in the final round for the championship last year. I didn’t have tools in my toolbox or all the tools to really know what to think or what to do, but I think the overall emotion of it was pride that we got there that our plan had come to fruition and proud of Tony’s progress to that point.”

Stewart lost to Justin Ashley in a pedal fest to the finish line. However, Stewart beat Ashley, considered the best leaver in the class, off the starting line with a 0.21 reaction time.

After the run, Pruett was caught on camera seemingly wiping away a tear. It was an easy assumption that it was either the emotions of not being behind the wheel or Stewart’s loss.

Pruett, however, explained she was fully tuned into Stewart’s run. She kept her eyes on the dragster from when it left the starting line to when Stewart pulled the parachutes and was looking for the scoreboard. When she turned around, the camera caught her reacting to the nitro cloud.

“I’m never going to be mad or embarrassed about anything a camera catches on the starting line because that’s our home,” Pruett said. “We live and breathe and die by up there. Now, fast forward to going into race six, I’m in a much deeper part of the team on some projects I’m working on that have really kept me involved, for sure, and I’m not nervous about how is Tony going to do. How is my husband going to do regarding the safety? That we work on that I’m not concerned with.

“The only concerns that I have that bring my emotions up are the exact same from when I was in the car of the will and want to win. So, because Tony has done such a great job in the car getting to where he’s at, it allows for just the racing emotions, which is what we live for anyway.”

Pruett was frustrated Stewart and team went into the season less prepared than she’d hoped. NHRA photo

By Stewart’s admission, Gainesville and Pomona were “a little rough” for his wife. There was also frustration Pruett developed during preseason testing because the team didn’t get as much on-track time as hoped because of bad weather. It frustrated Pruett that the team wasn’t where they needed to be.

Pruett and Stewart are not yet expecting. Since the December announcement of stepping out of the car, Pruett has been open about being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease where the body thinks the thyroid is a foreign object and tries to kill it. It was early in her relationship with Stewart when Pruett noticed something was wrong with her body.

“A lot of things happened at once,” Pruett said. “I was losing a lot of hair. I was constantly cold. I was having a very hard time compartmentalizing and controlling my emotions, which is not something that I’ve ever had an issue with.”

After Pruett and Stewart contracted COVID, they both had bloodwork done and Pruett’s came back “wildly off the charts with my TPO (thyroid peroxidase), and that was my antibodies toward my thyroid.” Through research and multiple doctors, Pruett went through all types of medications before finding an endocrinologist to go forward with finding the root cause.

“The reason your emotional structure gets unbalanced is because you don’t have the hormones to have the balance in your brain,” Pruett said. “So, it’s more than thinking (you’re) off. There was an extreme lack of concentration, which was very frustrating, a lack of ambition and a lack of energy.”

One of Pruett’s roles now as a spectator is working with the NHRA on a pregnancy protocol. There is currently nothing in place if a female driver becomes pregnant and has to step out of the car that would protect the race team points-wise.

As a spectator, Pruett does things she never previously could, such as taking casual strolls through the midway, pits and staging lanes. Pruett learns what fans are talking about and what interests them. There is time to take in the bigger picture of NHRA and how the program and sanctioning body can be better.

“I’ve learned that I love drag racing whether I’m in or outside the car, and that’s something I never would have really known that I could do,” Pruett said. “I prefer to be inside the race car but I’ve learned that I am a way better teammate. I feel better as a teammate than being the… I don’t know how to put it, but like the Olympian holding the torch and they have their whole team and trainers behind them that helped get them there. That’s never been a comfortable position for me — winning and being the one doing the interviews and all that. I don’t dream of those days; I dream of those experiences because of what they mean.

“Now that I’m in the background, it’s actually a comfortable position for me but it doesn’t override the want to be the one inside the car driving and being competitive. I’m enjoying this other side, but it’s not going to overtake anything else.”

The “other side” is where Pruett has learned that there is more to life than drag racing and she enjoys what she eats. The “other side” is where Pruett gets to be just as involved with the race team, sponsors, meet-and-greets, and other business-to-business connections.

“I would say I’m a value add to the team,” Pruett said. “It’s all the work side of the racing without the fun of driving the car.”

There are two other things Pruett wants everyone to know as time goes on in this chapter of her life. The first is humorous.

“If they see a T-shirt or sticker that says LSR, Leah Stewart Racing, it’s an entire inside joke,” she said. “It’s the TSR logo, but there’s an L on it, and it’s on the side of the race trailer.”

The story goes that after the 2023 finale, Pruett and her team were celebrating the season with some late-night cocktails. In the lounge of her hauler is a large practice tree, and about 14 people had squeezed themselves into the space to compete against each other. Naturally, things escalated, and money was thrown around with bets made.

“And on that night, Tony lost the naming rights to the team,” Pruett said.

It was even written down on paper. Next came ideas for decals and merchandise. And so, for anyone who has come across the decal that’s what it means — nothing to be concerned about.

The second thing Pruett wants everyone to know is that “I still have every intention of getting back inside the car sooner (rather than later). But I’m not going to rob our family short of that time. But I know I’ll be back inside, and that makes me feel complete when I’m at the track with Tony, watching him race. I don’t feel left out in any way; if anything, I feel blessed that he’s allowed me to do this, and I’m going to be able to get back in.

“So, therefore, I just complete the circle in my mind.”

Optimal Timing for Selling Your Car to Maximize Profit Revealed

Identifying the Best Time to Sell Your Car

Determining the best time to sell your car can significantly impact the sale price you achieve. According to a recent study, while the beginning of the year is generally optimal for most car owners, those with SUVs might find late-year sales more lucrative due to seasonal demand peaks. This insight challenges the common assumption that warmer months are always the prime selling season for vehicles.

The optimum time to sell your car to get the best price: Carwow has analysed its own data and revealed the months in which it's best to advertise different vehicle types

Market Trends and Timing Insights for Car Sales

The analysis, conducted by Carwow, leveraged a vast array of internal sales data to pinpoint when various types of vehicles—such as hatchbacks, saloons, and convertibles—are most frequently sold above market value. The findings suggest that the initial five months are particularly favorable, with a notable increase in sales volume and prices typically exceeding market expectations. This period is thought to be popular due to dealers stocking up in anticipation of the summer buying rush.

The general belief is that convertible cars sell for higher prices in the summer due to this being the peak period to drive an open-top model. This isn't true, says Carwow

Specific Recommendations for Vehicle Types

While the data generally favors early-year sales for maximizing returns, SUV owners are advised to wait until November to sell, as this is when offers peak. Additionally, despite popular beliefs, convertibles also fetch higher prices in the early spring rather than summer, with April seeing peak valuation offers for these vehicles. Understanding these patterns can help sellers strategically plan their sale to maximize profit while minimizing time on the market.

If you own an SUV, the best time to sell is towards the end of the year, with prices peaking in November, the online vehicle marketplace claims

Additional Selling Tips and Considerations:

  • Understanding Seasonal Demand: The car selling process is influenced by various factors, including seasonal demand. For example, convertibles are traditionally thought to be more desirable in summer, yet data shows early spring as the optimal selling time.
  • Strategic Pricing and Advertising: Aligning the sale of your vehicle with these identified peak times can attract more interested buyers and competitive offers, potentially increasing the final sale price.
  • Preparation for Sale: Regardless of when you decide to sell, ensuring your vehicle is in good condition, with all necessary repairs and cleanings completed, will help you achieve the best possible price.

By carefully considering these insights and preparing accordingly, sellers can effectively navigate the used car market to optimize their sales outcomes and achieve higher returns on their vehicle investments.

Exploring the Practical and Cultural Significance of Roof Ladders on SUVs

The Functional Role of Roof Ladders on SUVs

Have you ever found yourself stuck in traffic, eyeing the SUV ahead with a ladder attached from its bumper to the roof? This isn’t just an urban oddity or an emergency measure. These ladders primarily serve to facilitate access to roof-mounted cargo, such as gear on roof racks or rooftop tents, enhancing convenience for adventurers and travelers. They eliminate the hassle of repeatedly opening doors and climbing on seats, which not only gets tiresome but can dirty the interior if you’ve been off-roading or camping.

Aesthetic Appeal and Cultural Impact of SUV Ladders

Beyond functionality, these roof ladders have become a cultural symbol within the off-roading community, signifying a serious commitment to vehicle modification and outdoor adventure. Their practicality meets aesthetics, rendering the SUV not just a vehicle but a statement of lifestyle and readiness for the rugged. The ladder’s iconic status has even inspired light-hearted memes and social media trends, celebrating the adventurous spirit they embody.

From Memes to Mainstream: The Lighter Side of SUV Ladders

The cultural impact of these ladders extends into social media and beyond, with platforms like TikTok seeing users poke fun at their seemingly exaggerated necessity through viral videos. This trend has not only amused the community but also influenced pop culture, inspiring items like Goldwater Brewing Company’s “Wittle Wadder” beer. This witbier, flavored with orange peel and coriander, playfully nods to the ladder’s meme status, inviting enthusiasts to enjoy a brew that matches their adventurous lifestyles, whether in rain or river.

Further Insights on SUV Accessories and Lifestyle:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: The practical use of SUV ladders cannot be overstated, especially for vehicles equipped with additional height due to lifts and larger tires. They make the loading and unloading of bulky items like camping gear much more manageable.
  • Symbol of Adventure: Owning an SUV with a roof ladder signals a readiness to explore, turning the vehicle into a beacon for like-minded explorers who value both function and form in their outdoor pursuits.
  • Community and Culture: The ladder has woven itself into the fabric of the off-roading community, symbolizing a blend of practicality and passion for the great outdoors. It reflects a culture that values self-sufficiency and a touch of rugged style.

In conclusion, while the roof ladder on an SUV might initially seem like a mere accessory, its role extends far beyond functionality. It represents a lifestyle, a commitment to adventure, and, surprisingly, a source of community and humor among enthusiasts.

Optimal Times to Buy European Cars for Maximum Cost Savings

Timing Your Purchase for the Best Deals on European Cars

Selecting the right moment to buy a European car is crucial for securing the best price. While common advice often points to year-end purchases due to seasonal discounts and inventory clear-outs, data indicates that November and December particularly stand out. During these months, dealerships are highly motivated to meet annual sales goals, frequently offering attractive discounts on European models.

Leveraging Key Buying Periods for European Vehicles

The period when you buy your European car significantly affects potential savings. Dealerships aiming to meet quarterly and annual targets are more likely to negotiate, offering better terms or prices. The model year’s end, especially during autumn, presents a golden opportunity as dealerships discount old stock to make room for new arrivals. Recognizing these trends can lead to substantial savings when purchasing a European vehicle.

Techniques to Minimize Costs When Buying European Cars

To further reduce the cost of purchasing a European car, effective negotiation is essential. Buyers may find additional value in considering certified pre-owned or demo models from the previous year, which offer new car benefits at a depreciated price. Additionally, manufacturers’ European delivery programs present a unique opportunity to purchase a new car at a reduced rate while enjoying a European travel experience.

Advanced Tips for Acquiring European Cars:

  • Pre-Purchase Research: Arm yourself with knowledge about the typical market prices for your desired model before negotiating with dealers. This preparation can significantly enhance your bargaining power.
  • Take Advantage of European Delivery Offers: Brands like BMW and Volvo provide programs that allow buyers to pick up new cars directly from European factories. This not only potentially lowers the purchase price but also adds the thrill of exploring Europe in your new car.
  • Flexibility in Model Selection: Exploring less popular models can lead to better deals. Vehicles that have lingered on sales lots may come with incentives, making them excellent choices for budget-conscious buyers.

Implementing these strategies ensures that purchasing a European car is both economically wise and enjoyable. With proper timing, negotiation skills, and a strategic approach to model selection, buyers can enjoy significant savings and the prestige of owning a European vehicle.

The best pre-owned enthusiasts cars under the 10L & 20L barrier

Necessary upkeep should be reasonable for a middle class, or salary earner.

BHPian Overlander recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Ok, so let us get real. You are a TeamBHPian. Or at least someone who frequents these forums in anonymity while still wiping the grease off your palms in a towel. Your living room drawer have the latest electricity, PNG, telephone, school bills that need to be paid. You are enjoying a perfectly (and directionless) sedate weekend after a strong grind at the office, or the modest workshop you call home for 5 days a week. You are already looking deep and long into the horizon, where you would wish for jumping dolphins, and ochre sunset to be setting in. Instead, you are not sure of what Monday holds for you. And then while you stand perilously close to the thought-cliff, someone comes and just gives you a gentle nudge.

It could be a classmate, now showcasing their latest garage acquisition on Facebook/ Instagram (the holy grail of this generation’s existence); or it could be that annoying neighbour you scoffed at for their disenchanted pompousness. It could be easily that match-box of a car sketch that your child proudly handed over to you, reminding you of the silhouette you used to sketch at their age. That’s all it takes, you know!

You are laughing? This car has suicide doors man!

You forget about your middle class dispositions, and dive into a myriad of online portals/ resources at your disposal and while still being able to carefully (somewhat hesitantly but cautiously) keep moving the price range slider to an acceptable range. 40 lakhs? Sure, what are these mushroom-banks going to be come to work if not now. There is this hilarious Bengali-quotation shirt I have in our family which say “Jaa kamai, shob EMI” (eloquently loosely translated to – “All Earnings, Wasted on Yearnings”!) Nope, you put it to 20 Lakhs.

So very recently, let us say a friend of mine got down this rabbit hole. I (sorry, I meant HE) scoured through the threads available on TeamBHP to find optimum utilisation of scarce resources a new definition – 101 ways to ‘invest’ ‘small savings’ into a car that puts a ‘smile on your face’. Requirement? Satiate that long standing penchant to own a car (fossil based) that will plaster a grin that you do not want to post on social media, because it made you look stupid.

Now anyone who has been even slightly diligent with their searches (I am not referring to generative AI search capability – just a sliver of common sense capability) will know there are tons of such threads on this forum. Some basic educational threads, that will try its level best to knock some sense into that hard shell of yours.

But then here you are, looking at yet another one. Then you realise, why is this required on the first place? The purpose of this thread will be to note down defined price bands, and listing down options on a basic rule of ‘feasibility’ within that price band and tingles your senses on nostalgia (Yes! I am looking at you, please do not say M340i 10 years down the line at 25 lakhs). How do you know either of us will live that long for the other person to say “I told you so!”. Therefore, here are the ground rules:

  • Price Bands: 10 lakhs but < 22 Lakhs (Nothing more, please refer the Thread name!)
  • Car Criteria: Fun to drive enthusiast car, it has to be special and it has to be fast. Reliability is definitely a thing, so no references of 1985 LR et al. Therefore, by that design, you cannot recommend a car of extraordinary vintage, which will need 3x price to make it road-worthy.
  • Maintenance: Necessary upkeep should be reasonable for a middle class, or salary earner. No point adding to Pics: Imports gathering dust in India .
  • Vintage: Now for the demography, it would be nice to be able to drive it for at least 2-4 years before ‘khatara’-police (read NGT) come knocking on your door! Most Importantly: Be honest! If you will not buy the car, please do not recommend. This forum is something that non-enthusiast also refer, it would be our moral obligation to ensure recommendations here are things that we, as ardent car enthusiast, will also don’t mind buying.

The question to answer is, which car that attains to your nostalgia and one you would like to consider, given a restriction on funds available? During the time on this thread, one would like to come to answer that very question.

Less than 10 Lakhs: I am positive that other members would chip in with their inputs as well, for the time being, I do not fancy any other cars in this group.

Note: Pictures courtesy Google images, and respective upload owners.

Mercedes E350 CDI (2011-2013):

  • The daddy of Octavia with quad-headlights
  • TeamBHP review suggested it had S-Class interiors. Need I say more?
  • 3.0 V6 diesel, 231BHP, 540nm torque. If you feel 530D prices are obnoxious, this is the alternative.
  • Make sure to read this thread before you start financially planning for it

Audi A6 3.0 TDI Quattro (2012-14):

  • If you like your tail to point another direction and your steering to other, this is not the car for you. For everyone else, the venerable Quattro ensures your leach of a car stays firmly rooted to the road.
  • When Renuka was still making the auto world sit up and listen, she had chosen this over the other 2 marquee offerings.
  • Do not be surprised to see VWAG branded parts used in the car. There is a lot of cross-pollination in the brands.
  • A4 3.0 would be a better handler, so would the 530D. This would be a sleeper car, and could potentially sleep for some time in the garage if something went wrong. An acquaintance waited well into 2-3 months trying to prim up his pre-owned car recently.

Fiat Punto Abarth (2015-16):

  • Remember the time when India got excited at sub-10 0-100kmph timing? Yes. This is the one that made heads turn then.
  • Powerdrift had a very emotional video on this car. This was at a time when they hadn’t migrated to gaming-console-inspired graphics; and somehow made more sense.
  • Built like a Tank! While the space inside is not near as a family person would want, the steering is more a place to hold on to than steer the car.
  • Fiat’s future in the country? Oh well! There have been rumour mills since acche-din was not even a thing.

VW Jetta TDI (2015-16):

  • The Jetta in this vintage came with a multi-link suspension at the rear offering great ride quality along with very good handling. The Octavia came with a compound link crank axle.
  • A very dear friend of mine bought 2 of them recently. Unfortunately sold both of these, for no reason given by the car. But any garage specialising in European cars can upkeep it perfectly.

E90 BMW 330i (2010-11):

  • Paraphrasing from what Dark.Knight had written on this very forum while disclaiming his inability to write ‘drab, boring language’ “For the E90 I cannot exercise that restraint, Freude am Fahren is an understatement for the car, even ahead of the present F30”.
  • It will be extremely rare for you to find one that is in half decent state. But if you do come across one, you will do well to put a token money down at the least.
  • The 330i after this generation lost 2 cylinders in the engine bay.

Honourable Mentions: Volvo came with >300BHP V8 at the turn of previous decade. Audi A6 came with stonker of an 3.0 TFSI till 2014. Octavia was similar to Jetta in many ways, and therefore can be considered as well. YouTube is flooded with modifications that give the current vRS a run for its money as well. Last, but not the least, VW Polo GT TSI, but it is not “special” enough.
