What is the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe?
The 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe is a brand-new performance model to elevate the Genesis lineup with a sporty yet practical SUV on a rear-wheel drive platform with a lightweight, stiff frame.
It’s perfect for engaging drives and satisfying road trips without compromising rugged SUV aspects with AWD and a new Terrain mode.
It rolled out just in time for the LA Auto Show, and we got the chance to discover every single detail. This Genesis SUV encapsulates classic design language to match the rest of the lineup with distinct and unique features.
The athletic silhouette is both daring and inviting, with an attractive coupe roofline and signature parabolic line. MLA-powered headlamps frame the double layered-crest grille like the GV80 SUV.
Only the grille extends down to the front bumper with dark chrome molding for a more confident and aggressive style. It rides on exclusive 20 or 22-inch wheels with striking geometric spokes. The calipers are available in black and red to draw the eye.
The side profile and door handles are garnished with chrome accents, and the rear features LED surface-emitting combination lamps, a wide integrated auxiliary brake light on the tailgate, and a descending spoiler.
How much power does the Genesis GV80 Coupe have?
You may have expected the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe to be electric, but you’re in for an internal combustion and hybrid surprise.
First up, we have a turbo 2.5-liter inline-four engine that cranks out 304 hp with a dual-injection system that automatically injects fuel to optimize performance.
Then, the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine comes in hot with 380 hp, improved fuel efficiency, and enhanced combustion stability with a central-mounted fuel injector to increase combustion speed.
The cream of the crop is the 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s paired with a 48V supercharger for an electrifying 415 hp. It offers the highest performance and best fuel economy.
Plus, this performance-based SUV has metal accents on the brake and accelerator pedals to minimize slipping. Custom driving options like the Flex brake cater to your mood with stable braking in Comfort mode and a faster response in Sport mode.
Don’t fret about the weather, off-roading, or tough conditions because Terrain mode automatically sends power to each wheel as needed to prevent slipping. You can also select Snow, Mud, or Sand modes.
Is the GV80 Coupe interior luxurious?
Yes, the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe features an elegant, racing-inspired interior to blend athleticism and comfort for the driver and passengers. The D-cut steering wheel and paddle shifters fuel excitement.
The interior is accented by Carbon Garnish, which includes metallic and carbon fiber trim pieces for a high-performance environment with quilted Nappa leather seats. Plus, the 27-inch OLD display and slim air vents with chrome accents draw the eye.
The center console is slim and convenient by placing the controls easily within reach, and the shift-by-wire rotary dial is trimmed with jewel finishes.
There are multiple monotone and dual-tone upholstery designs to choose from with hues of green, black, brown, white, and blue. Plus, there’s an abundance of cargo space to take advantage of.
