Ghaziabad: Two men were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly murdering a 33-year-old car showroom owner near VVIP Mall in Raj Nagar Extension.

The Hapur-based businessman, Mehboob was taken to a nearby private hospital by his nephew but he died during treatment, police said on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused, identified as Sumit Kumar (37), a resident of Indirapuram, and Ankit Tyagi, a resident of Raj Garden City in Raj Nagar Extension.The third accused, Vijaya, is absconding.

Interrogation revealed that Mehboob and Ankit had struck a deal for a second-hand Thar, but Mehboob sold it to another customer to gain more profit, which gave rise to a fight between the deceased and the accused. Sumit, a common friend of the two men, had conspired with Ankit to get Mehboob to the murder.

“Mehboob had received a call from Sumit, around 1 am on Tuesday asking him to come to his help as he was caught in a brawl with Ankit and Vijay and had been cornered by them. Mehboob reached the spot in Raj Nagar Extension with his nephew Shoaib.

“He and his nephew were attacked by Ankit and Vijay as soon as he got out of the car. Ankit fired twice at Mehboob, hitting him in the chest and shoulder,” Ajit Kumar Rajak, ACP of Nandgram said.

The three accused have been booked under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC.

Gurgaon: A 29-year-old man is battling for his life while his 30-year-old sister-in-law sustained injuries after an Innova allegedly hit their scooter in Sector 54, Golf Course Road, on Monday afternoon when they were travelling from Genpact Chowk to AIT Chowk, police said. An FIR was registered at Sector 53 police station on Tuesday.

The accused, Rajat Chauhan (24), is a law student who lives in the city.

According to police, the victim, Arshad Ali, was driving his scooter with Sahira, his sister-in-law, on the pillion, and both were without helmets. The SUV, allegedly speeding, hit the scooter from behind and Arshad received multiple fractures on his pelvis and injuries on his face, cops said.

Initially admitted to Max hospital, Arshad was later transferred to Akropolis Hospital in Badshahpur. Sahira was admitted to a general hospital in Sector 56.

Ravinder Singh, Arshad’s colleague, filed a complaint at Sector 53 police station on Tuesday, stating he had received a call from cops who informed him about the matter.

A cop from the Sector 53 police station said, “We have identified the accused and will take action as per law.”
An FIR was registered against Rajat Chauhan under sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (injury by negligence), and 427 (causing property damage) of the IPC.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man was found dead at the IFFCO Chowk underpass after a vehicle hit him on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Police have yet to identify the victim and the accused. An FIR was registered under section 304 (death by negligence) of the IPC at the DLF police station on Tuesday.

I’ve tested ‘GTA: Vice City – Definitive’ on an iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro (2020), and also revisited the game on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X to compare the versions.

‘GTA: Vice City’ remains one of my all-time favorite games. I’ve played it on nearly every platform, owning multiple versions including the rare PS2 Japanese release. The nostalgia hit hard when I played the 10th anniversary edition on iPhone, and the recent mobile release rekindled that excitement. Despite initial concerns about the remaster, seeing ‘GTA: Vice City – Definitive’ on mobile exceeded my expectations. The mobile version features improved visuals, particularly with the new Classic Lighting option, which restores the game’s original atmosphere.
