The incident, which took place around 3:40 p.m. on May 15, involved an SUV carrying three passengers and a sedan operated by a solo driver. South Bend Police quickly responded to the scene to assess the situation and assist the injured.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered that two individuals from the SUV, including a young child, sustained serious injuries and required immediate hospital transport. Fortunately, a baby and another passenger in the SUV were found to be unharmed. The driver of the sedan also suffered multiple injuries and was transported to the hospital.
