The post office was closed while building was inspections were conducted but has already reopened.
No one was injured. The side entrance and some P.O. Boxes won’t be accessible until repairs are made.
Houston police are actively searching for a hit-and-run driver following a fatal collision on the Katy Freeway late Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. near the 3400 block of Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10), where a 41-year-old male motorcyclist crashed into the rear of a dark-colored SUV, as reported by Houston authorities.
The motorcyclist, riding a red Harley Davidson Softail, was thrown onto the freeway lanes after the collision. Subsequently, he was struck by a red Honda Accord traveling westbound. The driver of the SUV fled the scene without stopping to render aid, whereas the driver of the Honda Accord remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived shortly and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Houston police are urging the public to assist in identifying and locating the hit-and-run driver of the dark-colored SUV involved in this tragic incident. Investigators from the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Best, are spearheading the investigation. Birmingham mother Nakita Davidson was kidnapped and later found dead inside the trunk of her own SUV, having been shot eight times, as disclosed by police. Her boyfriend, 37-year-old Cedric Dewayne Robertson, now faces capital murder charges in her death. During a preliminary hearing, Jefferson County District Judge William Bell determined there was sufficient evidence to proceed, sending the case to a grand jury for indictment consideration.

Birmingham police homicide Det. Justin Lane testified during the hearing, revealing that there was video footage capturing parts of the crime, although not the actual shooting, and that there were two eyewitnesses. The city’s Shot Spotter system detected 13 gunshots at the scene, first five at 1:37 a.m. and then eight at 1:38 a.m. Evidence collected included multiple shell casings, a pink Nike sneaker belonging to Davidson, and a pool of blood on the ground near the scene.

Davidson’s vehicle was discovered the next afternoon in a wooded area, with her body inside, near the home of Robertson’s uncle. Testimony indicated that Robertson and Davidson had been arguing on the night of the shooting, with Robertson wanting Davidson to leave with him, but she refused. Davidson’s family, deeply affected by the loss, described her as a loyal and loving person, leaving behind four young children. The prosecution team includes Chief Deputy District Attorney Joe Roberts and Deputy District Attorney Jessica Hebson, with Robertson’s defense handled by attorneys Dave Simpson and Maston Evans.
A 65-year-old man was killed by a speeding Ford SUV in Rajouri Garden, west Delhi, on Wednesday morning, police said, adding that two people have been arrested. The deceased, who worked at a private firm, was going to office on his bike when the suspect hit him, police added.
According to police, a police control room call about the accident was received at 10am from commuters on the Ring Road. Police said they rushed to the spot and found all three damaged vehicles.
“From our initial inquiry, a Ford Endeavour SUV rammed a bike from behind and then hit a BMW car which was in front of the bike. The bike was crushed between the two vehicles and the BMW was also damaged from the impact,” said deputy commissioner of police (west) Vichitra Veer.
Police said that the bike rider, identified as Kishan Lal, was severely injured, while a doctor from a private hospital, who was inside the BMW, and her driver, sustained minor injuries.
Commuters rushed Lal to DDU Hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police informed Lal’s family about the accident. He is survived by his mother who’s in her late 80s and his daughter. The family live in Khanpur.
“There were two people inside the Ford car. Both were arrested from the accident site,” said a police officer.
The suspects were identified as Gaurav Soni, 27, and Kunal Katyal, 34. Police said that the suspects were coming from a bar in Gurugram and were drunk. Their blood alcohol content was 105 (Soni) and 77(Katyal), which is above the permissible limit, said police.
Both have been booked for causing death by negligence and rash driving. Police said Soni, who runs a cafe in Model Town, was driving the car.

A 15-year-old Bergen County girl was seriously injured Tuesday when she was struck and pinned under an SUV in a North Bergen driveway, authorities said.
The girl, of Cliffside Park, was sitting in a driveway in the area of Woodcliff Avenue and Palisade Plaza, near North Hudson Park, at 4:30 p.m. when she was struck by the vehicle as it was turning into the driveway, North Bergen police Capt. Nicholas Galliano said. Police Officer John Nunez was nearby and rushed to aid the victim.
Galliano said Nunez and some neighbors used a jack to lift the SUV off the girl, who was then taken to the trauma unit at Hackensack University Medical Center. The girl is currently in stable condition.

Featuring a “reductive design,” the concept’s design is simple but pure. It has no unnecessary lines or added details to clutter the modern design.
With added coach doors and no B-pillars, the design seamlessly flows from the vehicle’s body to the roof.
The design also creates a spacious interior. With an advanced “sound architecture,” where each speaker is strategically placed, the immersive audio experience is reminiscent of a concert hall.

According to The Korean Car Blog, we may see the production version sooner than expected. The report notes Genesis (Hyundai Motor Group) will begin building the full-size electric SUV in December 2025.
The large electric SUV is expected to hit the market as the Genesis GV90. As one of the most popular segments in the US, Genesis expects the GV90 to make a big impact on the brand.

The GV90 will be the first vehicle to ride on Hyundai’s next-gen “eM” platform. According to the report, Hyundai sent a request for quotation to its major partners detailing its plans.
Annual production volumes are stated as 21,000 for the GV90, 68,000 for the GV80, 40,000 for the GV70, and 51,000 for the G80.

Hyundai believes its new platform can result in 20% savings for next-gen EVs compared to current models like the IONIQ 5. It will also be available with different battery options (NCM and LFP) for various uses.
Hyundai Motor, including Kia and Genesis, aims to become a top-three EV maker by 2030. The company aims to sell 2 million EVs globally by the end of the decade, with 13 new models expected to roll out on the next-gen platform.

A man who troopers say was working at an apartment complex near Apopka Tuesday night died after he was struck and run over by an SUV.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the man was collecting bagged garbage along Jordan Stuart Circle north of Hunter Lake Way, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a the driver of a Dodge Journey SUV “failed to observe” the man, as well as a parked Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and collided with both.
After impact, FHP said the SUV’s driver, 17, continued traveling south on Jordan Stuart Circle, then turned left onto Hunter Lake Way.
Investigators said he then made a left back onto Jordan Stuart Circle, heading north, before he finally pulled into a parking lot.
Troopers said the worker had been trapped and was dragged under the teen’s SUV until he parked.
The man, 57, of Altamonte Springs, died at the apartment complex.
FHP said the teen driver, a Maitland resident, was not hurt and remained at the scene of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
It’s been almost a month since somebody drove that Jeep Compass onto the rocky beach between Seola and The Arroyos. (Here’s our original report; police later told us the vehicle’s owner belatedly reported it stolen.) While other vehicle-in-water cases have resulted in relatively rapid removal, this one is still there. Area residents Robin, awho sent the photos above and below, has been tracking the situation, and campaigning to get something done about it.
Most recently, Robin filed an illegal-dumping report via Find It Fix It. Seattle Public Utilities, which runs the illegal-dumping program, referred it to Seattle Parks. But Parks closed the ticket, telling Robin in a follow-up call that it’s not on Parks property. Meantime, it’s not just beached, it’s in and out of the water as the tide fluctuates:

In our most-recent round of inquiries more than a week ago, the state Ecology Department – which had responded to the scene early on, to remove fuel from the vehicle – said it was a “police matter” and that local law enforcement needed to work with the beach owners. After that, we asked SPD where it stood, and they repeated what had been mentioned before – tow trucks couldn’t get close enough to remove it: “There have been discussions with the Department of Ecology, U.S. Coast Guard and others, but it remains in the water for now.”
